Notes About The Poem

I have devoted this poem to all patients of cance, having seen my uncle suffering from the terrible disease till he died.

Cancer

Cancer, a lingering tragedy
Yields struggling griefs and despairs
Plunges life in terrible tragedy
Like a sinking ship no one shares

Its ugly shadow strikes down
Chasing away all hopes and desires
Like Satan's terror deeds hound
And only agony a patient acquires

Those defective cells demeanors
Cloaked and shrouded send shivers
Cease all peaceful dreamers
In joy like short circuit occurs

I pray that some lights appear
Through miracles and medicine
To kill those dark demons we fear
And to end those patients' adrenaline
