Cancer

Cancer you have broken me
Torn my world apart
You selfishly took my loved one
I can't heal my broken heart

Cancer, Oh I hate you
Why do you even exist?
I wish no one had to suffer
The years we all have missed

Cancer you are evil
The worst disease to roam this earth

You take and take
Without a thought
A life
A family
Brought to a halt

The families they suffer
A world they never knew
A world without their loved one
All because of you

Cancer we will beat you
We will see it through
We will find the research
To eradicate you

Though for now
We continue to fight

We continue to fight
Through the darkness into the light

Remembering lost ones
As we look up to the sky
My heart wasn't ready
Wasn't ready to say Goodbye
