Mark Koplin Poet Rhyme

Cancer

cancer leaves a bitter wake
                              but faith and love it cannot take

                      it will test your heart and trick some minds
                            but strength and will it never finds

                          it may leave you sick and take some hair
                               but trust in God, he’s everywhere

                               you’re not alone, he made this so
                              just take his hand, he won’t let go

                                a conquered spirit will never be
                               cancer has limits, it’s plain to see

                               it will never stop a mother’s love
                               it can’t take God from up above

                       it may change the future, but not the past
                               memories made will always last

                                live for today and rest tonight
                          he’ll give you strength so you can fight
