Can You Tell?

Never judge a book by its cover.
More true then you'll ever know.
Think about it, can you look at
someone and tell what kind of
person they are?
Or what kind of life they've lived?
Some think they can, but don't
fool yourself.
To look at a person and know
they've been abused.
Not if they cover their scars.
The quietest child who can be
the sweetest angel when others
are near, can also be a monster
when out of sight.
I mean even the saddest person can
hide behind a smile.
So, do you still think you can
judge a book by its cover?
