Can You Hear

Can you hear that?
Can you see that?
It’s me mommy…

Aren’t you proud?
Aren’t you ready?
I am here
I am real

I can’t wait to meet you
I can’t wait to meet my daddy
I can’t wait to be held in your arms

Wait…

What’s that?
You don’t want me?
But…I didn’t even do anything

I never got to see you
I never got to see daddy
I never got to feel you hold me

Mommy…

Please don’t do this
Please change your mind
Please give me a chance

I promise I will make you happy
I promise I will make you proud
Just give me a chance

I hear this isn’t the first time
I wonder why you keep doing this
Mommy…

Please stop this…

Abortions are wrong
Give babies a chance at life
Give them to a family who cares
Give them to a woman who can’t bear
Give them life and receive one yourself

Very powerful statement Carrie and one that I totally agree with. Laurie
