Can You Guess My Name?

Can You Guess My Name? I was given to you with a manual, a guide so precise. I came with a expiration date, my time to suffice. The world welcomed me joyfully and gave me a name. Now I am dying, no longer the same. Unlike any entity on earth I know the time, The second of my death, it's eerie chime. I know the successor who will take my place, The one humans await with an eager face. In my span I've known your secrets, your every plan. If use of the manual has you feeling joy and pride, If in your mind God is smiling at you, you'll thank me, You'll remember me and move forward, eyes opened wide. If not, you will celebrate my end with cheer, Welcoming my successor fresh and clear. Brand new, untainted, with hope anew, For better days ahead, a brighter view.
