Can You Be Alone

What brings you satisfaction in life,
A boy a girl a husband a wife?
Is it winning or money or friends next door?
Is it clothes or shoes or much, much more?

Take a deep breath when the sun comes up.
Barefoot in the grass, dew’s on the ground.
The soft fur and wet nose of a pup.
Don’t blink your eyes when the sun goes down.

A cat’s quiet purring and scratchy little tongue.
A love forever will never part.
Happiness brings tears of joy from inside when sung.
A child’s first word brings joy to the heart.

Have you looked at tiny flowers even though they are weeds?
Do you only eat the grapes that don’t have seeds?
Are sunglasses the only way the world you see?
When crowded by people, what about me?

Where is happiness, where to be found?
Be still and quiet, not even a sound…

Can you be alone?

I'm just a sucka for a good rhyme, nicely done and a message worth asking ones' self
