CAN WE TALK?

most relationships could do 
with a little bit of help 
If only the people involved would learn 
to talk among themselves 
we all need some form 
of honest communication 
If we want to remove any doubts 
and any implications 

so if you desire to talk 
to the Lord God
Use the Lord's prayers 
the words are easy and not hard

as the books of the Bible 
66 words to receive spiritual revival 

we might not always agree 
nor always see eye to eye 
but at least we'll have a better understanding 
of the reasons why 
and if our little talk doesn't 
accomplish all that much 
at least it'll remove the presence 
of the devil's evil touch

to the Lord God

God has only this one thought on His mind 
is that we communicate with Him 
at any given time 
He wants us to turn to Him 
and speak from the heart 
to say a prayer, a word or two 
and that's just a start 
yet people are always on cell phones 
sending each other emails 
yet a connection to God 
only requires knee mail

Our father who art in heaven 
Hallowed be thy name 
Thy kingdom will come 
Thy will shall be done 
on Earth as it is in heaven 
give us this day Your daily bread 
let Your words feed our desires 
forgive our debts as we forgive others 
as yesterday baggage is no longer required 
lead us not into temptation 
as tomorrow has its own set of trials 
deliver us from evil 
sway from Satan's wicked wiles 
for You are the kingdom 
with power and glorious endeavors 
and as we kneel to pray to You 
can we talk forever 

So if you desire to talk to God,
