Can Vos Animadverto Silva Per Nemus

torn within, the heart is weeping
to find all that the soul is seeking
to dismiss the rhyme of any reason
to trust the senses and the season

Loosen hold on mine own mind
and maybe then that's where i'll find
the things I know within are real
the things I dream, the things I feel

As i sit and therefore ponder
out the window, out there yonder
The trees they wave me in to listen
to hear the secrets of the missing

If i start running the world will turn
as trailing flames my feet will burn
to find a truth within the madness
which lies there buried, in forlorn sadness

Rachel, I agree with Chris, entirely. This would have been my expression to this your poem. I do like tight rhymes, I tend to do that myself. Nice write! Thanks for commending me on my 2nd place win with "A Sentimental Letter To My Only True Love". Joy (Jew)
