Can Not Stop the Clock
4/19/21
This goes out to whoever
I got to do better
And keep it together
Blinded by it
The reason why I buy it
Can't deny it
I continue to try it
For a period of time, I was able to fight it
Gone past the point of needing to hide it
It's there for the taking
But not if you continue waiting
Through this journey, I've been painstaking
Even though at times it was backbreaking
And really heartbreaking
Occasionally Earthquakes the cause of the Earth shaking
Made a lot of poor choices, despite all the decisions and money making
They thought it was ghosts that I was chasing
To me it was intoxicating
They continue debating
Towards others often shading
I have a difficult time relating
Got enough problems on my own I'm facing
Mind often wanders
Continually I ponder
Holding on longer
Getting stronger
Displaying honor
Still drinking lagers
The land occasionally copper
And the waters
Have guppies or monsters
From here to yonder
I've got a lot to offer
And can prosper
Unless I continue to squander
And think 'why bother'?
Paying no respect to the All-Father
Before I'm a goner
Certain things just can't be bought
The community is divided or they quickly flock
They continue to stir the pot
There's been a lot of talk
Most of which was crock
The truth came as no suprise or a shock
Can not stop the clock
If there's one thing my mom taught
It's that you can be hateful or not
As well as grateful or not for what you got
Comfortable or in a tight spot
If necessary, getting it done at all costs
As opportunity continually knocks
Stood atop
A dock
While in deep thought
Drinking another one and taking a shot
As life continues on or begins to rot
