can I turn on the light

Mom! Dad! Mom! Dad! The young girl was inconsolable that night. I know I saw a faerie zooming around my room; can I turn on the light? Her parents called her imagination silly and gave an emphatic “no!” When they left, the faerie felt sorry for her, so she gave off a light with a glow.
