Can I Live In Your Lullaby

His voice, so soft and warm, across me spread
Like a wave across a beach, or a kiss
"Your voice is so lovely," I sighed, already
Half asleep, and asked, "Can I live in it?

And he said "No, you live in my heart now."
I conceded that this I would allow
