Calvary Cancelled Our Debt

Calvary Cancelled Our Debt Calvary Cancelled the Debt We owe to our God; For we have all sinned The right path not always trod. We are covered with robes Of His white righteousness, Because God gifted His son; Showed His love is boundless. We owe Him so much, But He knew we couldn’t pay. So instead He made provision— Our sins to allay. We are covered with Christ’s glory, So exceedingly bright. This brilliance is a beam Of His Father’s Holy light. Because Calvary Cancelled— The Debt we could never pay, We are covered by His glory Even in our malaise. We should be so happy That He loved us so much; He would pay such a price To keep us in His touch. Copyright ©2007-2012 Maureen LeFanue www.maureenlefanue.com
