Notes About The Poem

Calling Me

Calling Me

Sitting watching waves come in
I'm staring out to sea.
Raindrops falling from the skies
tomorrow's calling me.

Life forever changing
the only thing that stays the same.
I sit in awe and wonder
how tomorrow knows my name.

Has it seen me somewhere else before?
Another time another place?
Was I laughing when it found me
or did tears roll down my face?

Was I frightened for the future,
was I broken when we met?
When again I meet tomorrow
will it help me to forget?

The former ways the yesterdays
when life tore at my will.
Can tomorrow somehow save me
or will I be broken still?

Sitting watching waves come in
I'm staring out to sea.
teardrops falling from my eyes
tomorrow's calling me.

Judy Kronos told me to check out your work, she said I'd love it, this is the first one I've read and by George she's right. Fantastic, melancholy, it just grabs you.

Very philosophical Edwin.. I like the way you look at possibilities. For some reason unknown we exist !.... we are the creation! we're the house! we're the trap and we're the mouse... we're wise and we're mad.. , so smile and be glad. I will remember your name. Kudos..
