California Earthquakes

What a horrifying two days people in California had,
I was shocked, my breath taken away, so very sad,
For all my poetry soup friends that live there or close,
Hope you are all safe, you must have all with fear froze,
Our prayers are with you, and you are in everyone’s thoughts,
Hope scare for more earthquakes has lessened, love you lots!

Jennifer, I was in a worse one in San Francisco '89. The one you mention was smaller than that one and I don't think anyone died in the one that just happened. What is scarier is to think that THE BIG one may be right around the corner. I too live in an earthquake zone now in Utah. Do you live in one. hate to think what could happen in the event of a monster earthquake!

No I don't Andrea, than God, but, most of Johannesburg and the surrounding suburbs are undermined - Johannesburg was famous for its gold mines, houses have sunk, not many, but when we get small tremors as the ground shifts, also very scary Hugs, and blessings, Jenny.

I grew up in southern Calif. and it comes with the territory. But for someone who has never experienced an earthquake it is terrifying. Three of my children live in Calif. I love the compassion you express in this lovely poem Jennifer. xxoo : )

Jennifer, this is such an informative, sweet, heart-felt loving poem. I never watch the news, for it is full of sadness so I did not know it had gotten this bad. I thought of our friend Panagiota immediately of course! So glad she is okay and hope the earthquakes stop. Great job!
