California Earthquake

As an innocent day begins
Many people heading to work,
All of a sudden things shift
The earth starts to jerk.

While frightened you continue on
Rocks fall blocking your way,
You stop and scream out
I dont need all this today.

Your already running late
Just to flustrated to see,
Its an earthquake causing this
After all what else can this be.

Stepping carefully from your car
You can now see it all,
Just as your looking away
Crashing your roof rocks fall.

Startled yet very thankful
You kneel down and pray,
Thanking the good lord above
For he saved your life today.
