California burning

Watching California fall to fire Watching the smoke grow ever higher People losing all Watching as their homes fall Tears in their eyes Reflection of the burning skies Breaks my heart Communities torn apart Voices filled with pain Praying for rain But it won't erase this stain So proud to see How truly strong one can be They stand together to build their strength Together they will go the length Makes me proud Saying that loud In such a time of need They pay heed From so many comes a good deed They help one another Care for their brother Give each other a lift Such a gift So many tears Facing so many fears Yet they stand tall They are each other's wall I'm proud of my home state They will rise above this fate I know im not wrong This moment seems to last so long But Californians will always stand strong
