Which one is his pet? The cat could be, then the boy would be proud, but unfortunately if it is the mouse...the boy wouldn't want to see. This is another fantastic poem of yours my friend! I love how you brought the emotion of the victory of the cat, or the defeat of the child, into this enjoyable poem! Fabulous Work!!

Lol, too funny, Sara. I wonder if the boy knows about his pet now in the cat's mouth. You can be so nonchalant in your description but your sense of humor comes through! :)
