Calendar Sage

The time has come to
Turn the page
The calendar sage
has spoken
It is autumn
And the garden
Takes one last look at
The sky
That might try
one last time
To rain
Its seeds remain well hidden
Think of me when
The first shoots breakthrough
A frosty crusted grave of
A long fallow winter
God’s fertile Earth
Blessed with the rebirth
of Spring
