Cabin Fever: Possible Delirium Or Just Thoughts
Holy crap, did I just see a beaver
Or am I going crazy from all this cabin fever
They want us all to stay inside
But I was born to be a social butterfly
There’s nothing like a coastal, sunny ride
Never been one to be claustrophobic
Except, all this stay in one place
Could be starting to make me mentally sick
I ponder, did nature turn on us
like that movie The Happening
It is all just so confusing and baffling
Why is it a new thing for people to cover their mouths
When they cough or sneeze
My parent’s and elder’s taught
My brother’s and I manner’s and courtesy
We grew up doing the innate basics with ease
Saying things like thank you and please
Washing your hands when you come back in from outside
Cleanliness in my culture is a sense of pride
It amazes me on how so many are unaware
On the processes of spreading disease
And not a slightest clue of how to appease
On the other hand, maybe they just don’t care
No different from jaded scientist creating diseases in laboratories
Selfishness has no title of glory
Now here we are once again in a pandemic
Government’s procrastinated, welcome to another global endemic
Zika, Dengue, Malaria, Ebola, Influenza, and many more
We are losing drastically, if anyone is keeping score
