Bye Bye Blues

I've been lazing all-day
Trying to wave my blues away.
Dozens of things I should have done
I haven't done a single one.

I should feel guilty but, I don't.
I've found the will to say I won't
Do anything today,
I feel the need to laze and play.

I am having so much fun,
My muse and I have had a run
On writing nonsense poems that rhyme
We have had a marvellous time.

My husband is over there,
Quietly reading in his armchair.
What a lovely restful day
Bye Bye Blues, you've gone away.
