Notes About The Poem

Butterfly Ladies of Lockdown

Pretty butterfly please come dance for me I am a lamp and I'm lonely you see Solitary here, I need company. I heard there's lockdown, so no one hangs out No gaiety, laughter or rowdy shouts Can't understand what it is all about. So let me shine o'er your fine filigree Flutter your wings in my light skilfully Be my ladies of lockdown, dance for me.

Ahhh!! I am glad that you shared this one with us. Maybe that is the reason so many butterflies have to come my herb garden to help ease the loneliness because of the coronavirus. Thanks for visiting my page.

Thank you Sara, perhaps that’s true, moments spent admiring all the beauty of nature certainly does help one make it through.... Belle

Ladies who dance will never stop, even in lockdown around the house with the mop. Thanks Silent One... Belle
