Butterfly

I see the butterfly and I ask why Why did you have to go? If I know anything, it's that it doesn't make any sense to me. Now, I may never know, the reason why that you said goodbye, but I understand, my friend. I know that it's time for me to let you know, just like the butterfly, you will go Maybe now it's for me to see that maybe it was never about me. Spread your wings, my friend, I'll let you go and I don't need to know your reasoning. My heart is breaking, my soul is aching, when I think of your smile. It's time to let you go Fly away, I already know, I'll be okay. I can see the butterfly, maybe I don't need to ask why you needed to let go. All the world your heart you showed, as you flew away. The funny thing about it all Is that you heard the wind calling you. When the voices were silent in my head, you heard that screaming instead. Pain took you too far, hurt was your calling voice above it all There was nothing I could say. All I know is that you didn't know what I now know and that's okay. Keep a watch over all of us, hold us safe in your care. Be like the butterfly Take your wings and fly high I finally understand, my friend. My heart is breaking, my soul is aching but I will hold onto hope inside. Help us be like the butterfly, now we understand why. Love and friendship live on. Grief and love are joined together forever, my friend So here today, it's not goodbye , I will see your smile again someday. I will see you in the butterfly some way. My tears and heart will heal someday. Please keep that butterfly Now we know that reason why We see you had to go. Now your love you will show in the universe, my friend. So please keep the butterfly until we meet again and I'll know why you had to go. Grief and love are intertwined forever, my friend. So here today, it's not the end. I'll see your smile, again.
