BUSY AS A BEE
Highly paid civil servant supposedly treating
Your problem with disinterested interest?
No, she had disinterested disinterest.
But sat at the desk in comfortable seating.
In her busiest manner looking around,
She got up slowly, went to washroom to send
An urgent sms to her upstairs boyfriend,
Then watered her desk plants all round.
She casually leafed through her in-tray,
Mostly empty of incoming mails.
Then meticulously checked her nails ,
And from the machine filled a cup of latte.
Her computer’s default setting for her email
Warned her of any sudden emergency
Related to her hair appointment’s urgency.
At five she signed out after a day’s travail
