Business As Usual

Maybe it's just me; maybe I should just think and shut up. An email was sent out from one in charge of a Men's Breakfast. The email announced that a group of men from the church was going to be starting up again since things have began reopening. The email indicated that 'no changes' would be made to the format. All would gather, eat and talk, etc.; no plan, no agenda; just gather. So I said to myself, "I don't think I will be returning to the breakfast". I noted that because of COVID, we haven't met for more than a year. And I asked myself, "Did we learn anything from COVID relative to our group? Is there not anything that we need to change, to quit, to start?" And I think to myself, "The whole world has changed and we will remain the same". Before COVID, we drank coffee, had eggs, toast, bacon or sausage, and pancakes. After COVID, more coffee and more of the same please; and let's talk, talk, and talk. And oh, to really celebrate our restart, pour us all an extra cup of 'Business as usual'. 071821PS
