Burning Petals

I am poetry because the heat of my dance
brings an aroma that hugs you as long as you want
I sit in the perfect spaces
Bringing light to everything precious
If you can’t stop to smell the roses
I can be the friendly reminder, of,
How soft life can be in the midst of the hard
Come back to earth
The nightmare is only the beginning of the dream
I am poetry because I calm the storm
I am the moon in the dark
Love sparks from me
And Love conquers all
My smoke carries all the feelings you need to let go of
Watch how I make the shadows of love dance
You watch me and then cut in
Like a quiet rainwater drying it tears
The end
I can’t wait for light to spark this two step again
p.s. don’t forget to blow out the candle…
