Burning Bridges
Sometimes we cross those bridges
with the matches in our hand.
We light that b**ch on fire ,
though it wasn't what we'd planned.
When happily ever after
turns into hell on earth,
it's time to take stock of our lives
and remember our self worth .
You can only try so long
to make things work out right
before it's time to cut those ties,
when flight outweighs the fight .
Don't let someone bring you down
to the point of no return.
Just cross the bridge, light the match
and let that sucker burn
