Burning: a Childhood Memory

Burning
bright into the Infinite
a childhood memory
Stretching out into infinity
race to green lands
the planes of childhood
following nothing
riding to the edge
before me floats the illusions
of the past the image of youth
chasing the kite high
into the noonday air
feeling the winds rushing to Horizons rim
One clear sunny day
all exploding light burning
out of site
the wind tumbles of leaves
grass tilts in breezes
in emerald waves
the burning out in white the soft edges
of vision stretching out
into the endless space
rage the green plains
of youth reaching out to grasp
nothing chasing the kite
following the running dog
the burning out of light
burning bright fading into a pale night
cool indigo hues runs
the fields of yesterday
the fields of play
the fields a fade
burning out in the blazing light
rays the youth spent running the green fields
to the Infinite Horizons is in Chase
The passing days bleed into Yesterdays
