Burn Me Instead
Please don't bury me,
I won't do well.
Don't wait and see.
Don't dwell.
My body, don't contain.
Set my soul free.
A box is so mundane,
No need for a key.
I want to touch the sky,
Feel the wind in my hair.
Baby I will fly,
And everyone will stare.
I was meant to fly away,
So don't bury me in the ground.
I don't want my body to decay.
I don't want to be bound.
You know what I need,
When I am dead.
It's just a good deed,
Burn me instead.
