Buried

Fell for you
With your deep blue eyes
Your warm smiles
Your kind words
Wanted you
To want me
But it was not to be
You’re stuck in the past
And won’t let go
Hanging onto the pain
She caused you
So long ago
I want to share your woe
And kiss each hurtful memory away
Until all you feel is my love
That will lift your heart and show
That someone really values you
All of you and so
I’ll sit and wait patiently
And be there
Each day for you
As you tell me of your worry
I won’t be in a hurry
I won’t push things
They’ll stay there in my head
I’ll be the friend you need
And my feelings of love for you
I’ll keep deep below and buried.

Let it out. Don't bury it as it will only cause you misery. Living your life in misery you are not being a true friend or being true to your heart. Excellent writing. Love, Carol

Wow...this breaks my heart because the voice in the poem wants so much to reveal the true emotions that are buried deep inside...love the honesty of the piece..well done.
