Buried

As I am reminded, I look around
I think the many been buried in time
Only I see elders standing full crowd
Buried deep in ground we lay them
Buried deep our souls we keep them

The young,so vibrant with ambition
Killing themselves like society kills the world
Drugs, guns, even that of sex is deadly
A thrill to live, just to breathe
Innocent robbed of their youthfulness

Their ways are young as them days we've seen
Where is it we went wrong or do they care
Our teachings we fail holding tight a dream
Not ourselves we pray but of life them to live

Buried,our eyes closed in darkness
Tears of pain run like a river flow
What is it we learn except of death
As we carry to grave a love one past
A bright young youth buried under the grass
