Bumps In the Road

You asked me the other day
why I cared
about a wretched soul like you

And all that I really could say
is that you needed a friend like me

Who would stand beside you on any
given
day to remind you that I do care about you

And that I support you no matter what you do

Because I have been where you are today
and I want to remind you that there will be
many bumps in the road in your journey

So don’t beat yourself up so bad
and
keep hurting yourself like you have

Because I don’t ever
want anything
bad to happen to you

Just be thankful that you
have someone like me

That will stand by your side to help you
get through the bumps
in the road because I do care about you
