Bully In the Canyon
She was a bully in the bathroom.
Throwing her nose up in the air, and
Showing her disdain.
She made me feel a little less than myself.
But, we all boarded the single engine eight seater—
Together like a family.
A confident sleuth with long, brunette curls,
She shook and shivered as soon as we hit turbulence.
I had witnessed a chameleon change from
A bold black to a pusillanimous yellow.
One plane ride closer to God showed all our true colors.
I was the only Black on board.
