Bully

I've seemed to have grown old.
That's what I'm told.
Always have I been tough.
,maybe at times rough.
Last few months of my life.
Strife.
Being pushed around.
But I refused to make a sound.
Refused to bow.
I really don't know how..
Everyday
I tried to stay out of his way.
Who could I tell.
I'd just say I fell.
Hated to go out.
I knew he'd shout.
A young man is he.
And I'm just me.
Nobody could see.
What could I say.
I'm told to walk the another way.
Seemed no one would believe.
Made my heart grieve.
Waiting for me in my yard.
Harassing me so hard.
Getting were I could take no more.
Couldn't even leave my door..
I didn't wish to appear weak.
But it was me he would seek.
How horrible he would speak.
Please set me free.
Just let me be.
I am done.
You won.
Then a shadow walks by.
I could almost cry.
There stood my son.
And for once I won.
 He layed him out.
Hope to shout.
For so long.
This man has done me wrong.
I don't like to fight.
My son made everything right.
