Bull Elk

towering antlers,
pierce the morning horizon:
bugle in the fall.

I have seen on TV or on the internet that Elk/Moose grow to be around or over a thousand pounds that would be some massive species to see in real life..Very nice Haiku about the species..Do they loose their antlers then grow them back each year like deer?? Sara
