Buit I Didn'T

BUT I DIDN'T When just a young married couple starting together on life's way, sometimes I wanted to tell you how much I loved you each day, But I didn't. I often thought it would nice as we walked along the sand, watching the sun going down, to reach out and take your hand. But I didn't. I was busy doing lots of things that so many wives must do, and should have taken more time to be there, caring for you. But I didn't. Retirement's come, I now have time to do all those things, you'll see. But now your memory's fading, I was sure you'd remember me. But you didn't.
