Building Character
Not just a pastime,
a game that builds character
and lifetime friendships.
That tiny white ball;
invigorating swing, smacks...
backward sailing spree.
A lonely mitt sits;
bat has conquered once again;
cheers, back pats and hugs.
At age eighty-three
a glorious reunion
baseball memories.
