Bug

Standing in the open night
Seeing the stars shinning so bright
Seems up there so very far
Reminds me of air holes across the lid of a jar.
That housed a bug I once found
Would watch it for hours with nearly no sound
The whole universe of the bug , I held in my hand.
Wondering if it could even understand
That his world was microscopical , a univers in a jar.
It stood there looking up towards its own sky
Seeing the stars up there so high
Was it waiting, half afraid of seeing my eye
In one of the holes that looked to be a star
Like The stars we see up there, so very far
So I keep watching them stars, so far up in the sky
Half fearing someday , I may see an eye...
