Budget Day

Lying in bed
Streching limbs
Slowly sinuously
Gently

Snow is falling
Forecast is bad
Budget Day is here
Reality intervenes
Anxiety filters in
I get up stiffly
To absorb it all

On those days that are to be spent dealing with financial matters, I'd rather just lie in bed, Liz. Our styles are different, but we seem to think alike. Another poem to which I can relate! And thanks for your kind words on Guessing Games. I did have fun writing it! I'm surprised more people aren't entering John Heck's contest. He'd probably appreciate your support if you feel inspired to enter. Love, Carolyn
