B'shert

You asked me "Why so joyful?" Laughingly did I reply "I have found my treasure" That is why! So many years I have searched Digging into mountains of dirt Climbed into caves Even braved the highest waves Dove down oceans deep Sat in desserts too dry to weep With each struggle I submit My heart so weak At times I felt too tired to speak And occasionally A song would play Which gave me hope that one day All the pebbles along the way Would line a path to your door Where finally we could see That you and I were meant to be
