Brunswick Beacon Needs Poetry Page

Brunswick Beacon Needs Poetry Page

My poem was on Page 6a of the Thursday, February 7th, 2008
edition of the Shallotte, NC Brunswick Beacon Newspaper.

Like grits and steak without any gristle,
I always will want to wet my whistle;
Need news to make my mind engage
When I read your promising poetry page.

You printed one of my poems already
And wasn't like beer which was heady
Mine all will go down smooth like silk
When having chocolate mixed with milk.

Great glass of milk gets me up and going;
And makes children's bones begin growing;
Might even use milk on skin to message;
Swallow if in throat something does lodge.

Brunswick County has no big skyscraper
But has a perfectly pleasing newspaper;
Reporters are really ready and raring;
Always thoughtful, true and very caring.

Poetry page is exactly what you will need
So in each reader may plant another seed;
After reading newspaper in complete entire,
It will become a building like the Empire.
