What a vivid, vibrant image you've created in this haiku, Sara. Resonates so well with me. ~ Taking Wing

Gershon, It was amazing really what I saw from the kitchen window, but of course, it was not that frozen or snowy here just some ice on the birdbath. Sara

Anne-Lise, I haven't forgotten but I am not feeding them like I once did. There has been a good bit of seeds leftover from summer flowers, but I need to put out a little food this afternoon. I bought some suet when I last got some groceries, so I plan on putting it out. It is about time they probably start thinking about nesting. Your visits are uplifting. Sara

Well-crafted haiku, Sara. You capture a nice picture of the thrasher skating on ice and taking a flight.
