It is amazing at the intelligence of birds and other animal species..At a traffic light waiting in Atlanta one day I saw this crow get a pecan from a tree take it down during the red light and place in where the car's tires would go then fly back up, watch and then go back down next red light and eat the pecan..I was totally amazed at what he was doing..Thanks for dropping by..Sara

that is an amazing story. Thanks for sharing that with me, Sara. Did you write a poem or haiku about it?The crow showed intelligence, planning, logic, knowledge, and so much more. A brain almost human! I'd say worth studying. Let me know if you intend to do anything with this story. If not may I have permission to write a poem or haiku about it.?I would want to study a bit more from the internet on crows first. And I would give your credit for sharing this story with me. Blessings, Darlene

I try to be alert when I'm outside to capture these rare moments. I saw a seagull waiting with others for a safe crossing as if he were one of them. What really got me was when he turned his head first to the left and then to the right, to check the traffic. Blessings, Darlene

I know what you're saying, Matthew. Those seagulls circling overhead are looking for people with food in their hands. I have had them swoop down on me when I was eating something, and they'll snatch it right out of your hand. But I still like them.

Other people waiting to cross the street did not seem to notice the gull waiting with them. I guess it takes a poet's eye! Thanks for reading. ~~Darlene

Thanks, Andrea, and what I told Casarah, is true. Only a poet would see a poem there. Other's would only see a discarded fast food bag in the middle of the street!
