Broomsage Sunset

I gathered broomsage this morning down where the bunnies hide
This patch of chosen broomsage had grown to terrific heights

For it was well watered, down close to the creekside
Bubbling from the ground was a spring as a tide

It was easy to gather for I had my sharpened scythe
Now to bundle it together and do as God's great wish

I am to make broomsage brush; paint the evening sky
A beautiful sunset for everyone to spy

God provided five different paints in buckets just for me
All colors that will make a sunset that is colored true

There are two buckets of yellow ample supply
For God knows I love yellow sunsets for my eye
