BROKEN WOMAN
She wrote her sorrow on her face
For everyone to see her locked case.
She paints her pain in a portrait so stark
A piece with strokes that leave a mark.
In her eyes, you see a ghost
A history of battles she has lost.
Her spirit, now a fragile thread
Bound by the tears she has shed.
Her heart is a sad playground
Packed with mood swings all around.
Loose ends with too many strings
A hymn a broken woman sings.
Her end seems near, they say
Her life’s glory fades away.
She talks to herself, sings to herself,
A poor soul, her tale of woe unfolds.
