Broken Wings
He sat there with his wings broken
Everyone else flew
In happiness, in sorrow
In abundance of hope
Floating in the sky
Eyes full of dreams
For every moment
For each tomorrow
Though he couldn’t fly
He never let his dreams fade away
His heart filled with hope
Remained un-shattered
One day even for a day
He will float with the wind in a clear blue sky
Untouched by earthly shame
Nothing to hide, none to fear
With no hunger for glory or fame
One day, even for a day
These wings will stretch
Over this terrain
With sheer joy
That his dreams could fly
