Broken Wedding Vows
I'd like to forgive you but there is no way that I can.
We've only been married for three months and you're sleeping with another man.
When you vowed to be faithful, you were not sincere.
You couldn't even be a faithful wife for half a year.
I found out about your lover and you don't even care that I know.
Unlike you, I intended to be faithful, this is a devastating blow.
When we met, you were pregnant with another man's baby but I didn't mind.
It was stupid when I thought you'd be faithful, I can't believe I was so blind.
You've hurt me beyond belief, you've cut me to the quick.
You broke your wedding vows and you make me feel sick.
When I learned that you were unfaithful, I wanted to believe it wasn't true.
You're not being faithful to me so I have decided not to be faithful to you.
(Even though this poem isn't about me, it's based on a true story)
