Broken Through

Broken Through!

I can see your smile of pride
While on tow beside my side
You think yourself so well
Ringing others' death knell.

Your mind is as clear as glass
Through my sight can pass;
For, all the paean you sing
Conceals a Scorpion's sting!

All Praise songs that you sing
Flatter someone into a King!
Others you reign until tame
Using tricks of the mind game.

Did I not feed you with milk
And laid you on beds of silk?
It seems time has flown fast
Till you forgot our own past.

But, forgive me for being rude;
Your brain is in pure nude:
You planned a breakthrough
You've been broken through!

Just That Archaic Poet September 26, 2013 at 3:20 PM I am just astounded by your precision with your words. While the rhyming is a little wobbly and wrinkly here and there, they do not detract from the poems impact. You have conjured many beautiful verses in all the poems of yours I've read and I find myself quite jealous that I did not think of them. When I am jealous of another poet's work, it means you have moved me greatly with your words.
