Broken Soul

To know you’re alive and well is a blessing
To know you’re alive and in pain is a curse
Every person you love has abandoned you to dwell on your past
Only a pinch of memories but never lasts
Memories fade leaving you diseased wishing your demise
Cursing every person you called a friend with despise
Screaming and writhing for your aching soul
Flashes of awe struck horror as you cry in the arms of death
Sound of your heart in your ears only sign of life
Weary thumps replaced the strong
Broken by all when you’ve done nothing wrong
