Broken Smile
Today I try a broken smile,
It's been quite a while,
To even try,
Not to spill tears from my eyes.
You left me and broke my heart,
It has taken years to even start,
To recover from this pain you see,
Of you leaving me.
You see this broken smile on my face,
It's a start to get out of this dark place,
Where I have lived for years,
And shed many bitter tears.
You say it's time to move on,
It has been years but doesn't seen that long,
Since you ran from my life
And no longer wanted to be my wife.
Today I try a broken smile,
It has been quite a while.
